From 1st of February to 3rd of February I met the people in National Association of the Blind in India, Mumbai. I was overwhelmed by their hospitality and friendliness. I have never been to India before, so this was a new experience for all senses. New smells, sounds, and sights. Perhaps the scents of spices, foreign food and flowers made the biggest impression. Not to forget all the noise in the traffic, and the seemingly total chaos of cars, motorbikes, bikes, people, dogs, cats and other animals. The cars honk their horn every second it seems.
The people of the National Association of the Blind received me with great hospitality. I got to know the department of rehabilitation quite well. They are training the newly blind and people with incurable eye disease to be able to manage the everyday life as a blind. They are doing a great job!
